E-Resources Portal – KVS Ernakulam Region

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Ernakulam Region has launched an e-Resources Portal for sharing of various educational resources to the teachers and students.

The portal aims to provide access to various educational resources created or curated for the students by the teachers. The portal can also be used to provide glimpses of the activities at school/cluster and regional level, and will also serve to highlight the achievements of staff and students of the Vidyalaya.

Any KV or teacher can contribute resources/content to the portal through the Google Form provided at Add a Resource Link (https://kvsekmeresources.in/addresource.php). Select Grade level from the drop down menu and then fill the required information in the Google Form to submit a resource. The resource will be made available after moderation by the moderation committee.

The Google form is restricted to the users of KVS Ernakulam Region and you will have to login to your G-suite ID to add a resource.

How to Contribute Resources to the Portal

While adding a resource please ensure that you provide a clearly identifiable title for the resource and fill maximum fields as possible to make the resources searchable through various criteria. Include information like the subject, class, chapter and type of resources in the title to help the visitors to identify the suitability of the resource quickly.

The resources you would like to add to the portal need to be uploaded to a platform suitable for the type of the file.

Sharing Documents

Documents in MS Word, PDF, PPT and similar formats can be uploaded to Google Drive and the link can be copied to be provided in the URL field. Ensure that sharing is enabled to make it accessible to others. You may make sharing enabled to Anyone with the link to make the resource available to the public or you may restrict the resource to KVS Ernakulam Region.

Sharing Videos

Videos like video tutorials, videos of events or achievements may be uploaded to the YouTube channel of the Vidyalaya and then the URL can be copied and pasted in the field.

General Websites

Various educational websites on different subjects and educational software/tools/platforms can also be added to the portal. It will be helpful for the students to have a resource list on various subjects suitable for the students that are judiciously selected by the teachers.
